As I sat down with my meal, the ambiance struck me immediately. The moderate noise level buzzed with laughter and conversation, creating a delightful backdrop for a meal that felt like home. I opted for the Avocado Burger this time—every bite was a burst of flavor with the savory grilled onions complementing the fresh avocado perfectly. The option for toppings made it a treat to customize as per my liking.
The breakfast selections are particularly enticing. The Breakfast Burrito, filled to perfection with scrambled eggs, cheddar, and a hint of green pepper, left me dreaming long after my last bite. Day By Day Cafe transforms breakfast from a mere meal into an experience worth savoring.

I went to get the Valentine's Day special chocolate cupcakes at Brake Bread and I was told they wouldn't be ready til 10. So I was forced to come here. Someone was pulling out of a handy parking spot on the corner. I was super impressed by the entrance. It's like a hallway and very warm. Also that there is an enter door and an exit only door. Somebody's thinking. I sat at the first booth cause it's well lit. I got the early bird special for $12. I got a coffee and it's Dunn Bros. medium roast. Delicious. I love how they give you a pot even for one person. I love the cute small cups that remind me of the old fashioned ones they used on trains. I got 2 perfectly OE eggs. The hash browns were beautifully, finely shredded but on the light side, golden would be better. The bread was odd. I got the multigrain toast, yet it was toasted on the outside but soft on the inside when you bit into it. I got standard sausage links. The menu was super impressive and there are many corned beef offerings. Made me think of St. Patrick's Day. What a happy unplanned visit I had.

Always great food! I love their quiche of the day. Open, louder environment, but the servers are very good.

Best New England Clam Chowder I've ever had. Excellent service as well. Nice ambiance.

I'm a long time fan of Day by Day Cafe. I tend to eat out at breakfast, so the breakfast food is primarily what I get. My husband and son are usually very happy with the more substantial hash & egg options, but I always get the pig's eye porridge - steel cut oatmeal and wild rice go really well, and you can choose to have hazelnuts and raisins and brown sugar with milk to go over it. The place is pretty and eclectic with lots of wood and sunlight & funky knick knacks. The service has never disappointed us.

Excellent place for breakfast. Probably one of the best omelets I've ever had. Many quality ingredients from which to choose. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Come to this place for the ambiance. The back patio is an oasis and a perfect spot for a brunch with friends or a date. The inside back room feels like sitting in a library. The space is really cozy. This is a great place for a slow meal and if you don't want to be bothered by servers. The paying situation was a bit confusing because we didn't have a consistent server and the people up front were busy in a conversation together when we went to try and settle up. The food was diner food. The hash browns were nice and crispy. Most of the dishes need a bit of salt added, but it was a very Midwestern Mom type meal. It's very unassuming from the outside. Parking is street parking.

Such a wide variety of options available in the menu for breakfast and lunch, the perfect place for picky eaters because they seriously have everything. The outdoor patio area is one of the cutest patios in the twin cities with a quirky, homey vibe (: Servers were amazing, friendly and attentive. Definitely one of my favorite brunch spots

Super solid diner. Exactly what you think you're getting. Very cool "library" room, with great windows and an airy feel. Food was quick and very good. Again, you k ow exactly what to expect from this diner. Servers were timely and efficient.

Really delicious underrated brunch spot! I was surprised to find the place relatively empty on a weekend morning. The restaurant is very home-y and is filled with traditional booths. The server greeted us like family! The menu is huge so it was hard to decide what to get. I ended up getting the scrambled eggs with cream cheese and added hash browns. My husband ordered buttermilk pancakes and a friend ordered french toast. Everything was so good! The coffee for the table was delicious too. It felt like I was eating a home-cooked meal. Can't wait to come back some time and try more of the menu! There really is something for everyone.
